Each of the 10 modules comprises various components, including high-quality course notes, video
lectures, a discussion forum, practice quizzes, practical assignments
and extra reading material. All material is approved by the University
of Cape Town.
Each module is released on a Monday and all course material is accessed through the user-friendly GetSmarter website.
2. Join a photography community
Ask your questions and interact online with your Course Convener, Roberta Crumplin. Learn from your fellow students by sharing tips, ideas and comments.
3. Study part-time at a time suitable to you
Now you can fit learning into your busy schedule and study morning or night, from the office or at home. 
4. Improve your practical skills and receive rich personal feedback
Instantly apply the practical skills you have learned to your photography, and complete practice quizzes and practical assignments to test your ability. In addition to personal feedback from Roberta, you will also you will also receive reviews on your anonymously posted photographs from your fellow students.
5. Receive expert support within 5 working hours
You will receive continuous academic support from Roberta and get questions answered within five working hours.
The Course Coordinator also provides administrative support by email and telephone.
6. Receive a University of Cape Town certificate
On completing the course, you will receive a certificate from the University of Cape Town’s Centre for Film and Media Studies.
