Meet Melanie Louw

Melanie Louw obtained her initial legal qualifications at the University of Stellenbosch, completing her LLB and also an LLM in Property Law. She joined a law firm where she completed her articles and was admitted as attorney in 1992. She subsequently obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Tax as well as a Masters Degree in Tax Law at UCT. In 2003, she obtained her third Masters Degree from UNISA, specialising in Commercial Law.

Melanie has worked at Old Mutual, Momentum and Absa, providing various legal and advisory services. She is currently a practicing attorney and her fields of specialisation include insurance law, tax planning, retirement fund legislation, estate planning, company law and consumer protection law.
