Study anywhere, anytime
GetSmarter courses are presented entirely online. This means that you can access all course material via the internet, without having to attend any lectures. Our courses are designed for working professionals like yourself, allowing you the flexibility to complete the course at a time that is most convenient to you.
Maintain a work-life balance
We understand that you might have family, work and personal commitments, and achieving work-life balance may be a priority for you. Our learning model allows you to achieve this; our courses can easily be completed in your own time at your own pace, while still receiving personalised support on our online discussion forums when and if you need it.
Enjoy a structured learning path
Most courses are presented over a period of 8 or 10 weeks. At the beginning of the course, you receive a user name and password that will grant you access to all course material on the GetSmarter Learning website. You will complete one module per week, which is released every Monday. This includes reading lecture notes, watching video lectures, participating in online discussion forums and completing a short assignment, all in your own time and at your own pace. Access these materials online or download the notes and videos to go through offline.
Receive personal proactive support
You will receive continuous pro-active support throughout the course. The Course Convener (who is also the course lecturer) provides daily academic assistance, while a designated Course Coordinator is always available to offer constant administrative support. These individuals maintain contact with you via email, SMS, telephone and the discussion forums.
