Why this course?

ISCEA approved Accredited by the International Supply Chain Education Alliance.

A changing business landscape heavily influenced by technological growth and globalisation means that traditional supply chain management systems and processes are now outdated. The modern supply chain manager needs to be an exceptional general manager, and a specialist in the areas of logistics, operations, manufacturing and quality assurance. However, few professionals possess these key skills, resulting in the Department of Labour in South Africa classifying supply chain management as a scarce skill. The field aces similar critical skills shortages abroad.

Course overview

This course seeks to address this need for professionals trained in current supply chain management principles and processes through providing a comprehensive overview of this complex and dynamic field, and understanding its place in the modern business environment. The course will examine the various activities involved in the supply chain sequence, from procurement to inventory and warehousing management, right through to forecasting, transportation, financial and packaging management. This course will teach you how to successfully integrate all of these activities within a business.
