Why this course?
The ever-increasing volumes of regulatory legislation make compliance one of the fastest growing industries in South Africa. Organisations across almost all sectors need to comply with applicable legislation to ensure their dealings take place on the right side of the law. As a result, compliance professionals who can minimise business risk by cutting out the costs of non-compliance are in high demand.
This 9-week online short course will empower you with comprehensive conceptual knowledge and the practical skills needed to understand the processes, practicalities, and methodologies involved in South Africa’s principles of compliance and corporate governance.
You’ll gain the ability to articulate legal principles of corporate governance that apply in South Africa, and understand the importance of the compliance function within organisational frameworks.
Importantly, you’ll also learn to illustrate how the risk of material compliance failure could be minimised through adherence to the compliance framework, and you’ll earn an industry-recognised certificate from the University of Cape Town as proof of your capabilities.
