Internet | Get a little smarter with the Internet Super-User textbook

GetSmarter has recently launched a new online education initiative, the Internet Super-User textbook. The one-of-a-kind textbook has been designed by internet and teaching experts to bring internet novices up to speed with the online world. In addition to the comprehensive and up-to-date notes, students receive a wealth of links and resources, and can take part in an interactive discussion forum community.

Contents of the textbook
The Internet Super-User textbook aims to help you expand your use of the internet by teaching you about a comprehensive range of internet tools and the best ways to use them. The textbook teaches novice and intermediate internet users how to use many popular tools, like Google, Skype, Wikipedia, Google Earth, Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, eBay, Ustream, Mozy, blogs, mobile technology and many more. Teaching with the textbook
This textbook is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license and gives teachers the ability to use the textbook in the classroom to create more internet super-users. The University of Cape Town has already added the textbook to their Open Content repository.
